If it is possible to do a dress rehearsal (according to when the conditions permit, but also helps, that in your mind). This, that sample, also walking distance from the seat, which, the click on the stage seating will be. Everything as it was a real event. The point, that is, that body and mind must get used to this situation. We fear what is unknown, so is the objective to introduce this situation.

Secondly - you know the audience.

If you can make only these people, who will be the audience before the speech. Learn as much about them as you can. Ask questions which you customize your presentation, what they need and expect. If you previously cannot meet them, you eliminate early on the day of the presentation. Have a chat with one other early arrivals. During a speech you keep eye contact with them from time to time. If you had a good relationship, this will be very helpful.

Thirdly - you know your material.

Not as an exercise only handle, you act, think of how it was a real event, there are people sitting before. Gestures would be doing here, have this vote as you were talking to a real people. If you have questions, some friends, a role of the target group for you. If you do not agree, you can use your dog for this purpose.

Make a mental map or concept map of your speech instead of only usual linear notes. This will feel you more unprejudiced with your material, and if from a different angle to understand. People see something, is that not only repeating that you saved, however, that you really your speeches have been integrated with what. Of course if you know your material well being large, what is important to know this out, should be deep and inside and not just stored. Some mental card can help with that.

When you start preparing for your speaking event, and if you do a speech, you should focus on one thing. Value people to listen to you. The essential thing is to get somehow enriched you want something good to them that feeling, you should by this session. This idea should guide you through the entire process, from the date of acceptance of the German-speaking invitation to the last minutes of the presentation. This will take you in quite different position, if you your power on ' question simply me, whether they like what I say '. If you like thinking, it is the audience, something to you, and you are on the position of the dependency will be. It is not the right way. Focus on type, disappears on trying to get, and many of your fear to speak publicly. This is to speak of a kind of inner game.

Personal goal in public speaking

When preparing a speech to a group of people there are, only we should do a few things in preparation at the very beginning. One the most important one of you is set clear goal for our presentation. We should know what we want. What change do we in our audience minds and hearts to make. 'Mental what place' we want to go. Simplify this task for you, I will describe briefly most common target categories. This may help you, find your own presentation purpose.

Conviction - is to make simple something. Believe in something, to do something or to stop, to do something. It is particularly important to prepare well in the art of seduction. The more you know and understand current beliefs of your audience, the easier it is to seduce.

Sales - this is a part of persuasion (also most so I thing it deserves separate description). Like in the above point is people you are going to influence the key factor are proper research about anyone. We should know what needs and problems does have our audience. Thanks to this, we will talk in able to sell our solution, without much. This is because everything we'll tell you will make sense. What you want will be targeted.

Education - sometimes we need to transmit knowledge we have in our mind in their heads. What is important here is to make this process nice and easy. We need to attract the message. This is especially true when our presentation is abort technical staff, and there are non-technical people in the audience. This attractiveness is influenced by the language we use, our body language, the rhetorical devices to include in the speech and the sound of our voice.

Motivation - This is part of the daily work for many managers, and of course motivational speakers. What is the decisive factor here to tell an interesting story that arouses emotions and brings some news with you. Best scenario be from my own experience.

These four objectives are only most common categories and own personal goal may be somewhere between two of you, can be mixed in only a few of you or maybe something else. I hope that helped you a little with the Mission of your personal presentation purpose.

One the most important advice, public speaking anxiety

I thought if it is a single piece of advice I could give any person suffering from fear to speak publicly. Although I really don't think there are universal solutions in this area, I noticed that it is one thing that may be helpful to you. This advice is about yourself, don't think that your audience think.

There you will see some 'biofeedback' is called. This is a process of speed up any physical symptoms that can occur just by you to watch. For example, if you feel peace of mind and it manifests itself in your body as deep, normal breathing, you feel even deeper rest by observing your deep breath. If you think, fear and shaking hands it pushes's through let you be your fear even bigger, if you shake your hands say thought about would be. Sometimes while coaching a client would tell me "I really fear that situation am." I may not be to make good impression as I should, I can make some stupid mistakes, I can freeze and forget everything what I say... ". Sometimes do the same?

If so, you realize that you yourself constantly think about. Try a different angle. Beginning about your audience. Why the meeting will be a conversation which you came to the Conference, or whatever is? What do you expect? What was they feel that it would come to value the time and effort? How can you add value to your life? Only in this way of thinking and it is very likely, you reduce your stress a lot will focus. It is very simple but very powerful position. Also you will experience some fear it much easier to handle if you will just focus on added value for people instead of thinking "Oh my God!" My hands tremble! ". Try this advice before you would test any other solutions.

5 Ways to do more live your target audience

You have a boring speech and you never sleep? Your head start to adopt as you fight envy of the packing slip, fortunately, in country z or never have your spirit came during the deaf person presentation? Although you seem to listen carefully to what you really think millions of tasks await you at home.

Of course, this happened us more than we like admit all. However, don't let come to you when you are the speaker. The key to keeping your audience to take a mental exit is to involve the in your speech. Yes! Studies show that involve the more you your audience, the more they keep. Why? Because they are listening!

You can integrate the public ways, and I just 5 to my favorites below. Choose those that work with your presentation and who feel real to you. If it feels uncomfortable, it seems uncomfortable - do not use.

1.maladie ask questions.
Questions will result in your audience trying to think of an answer. They cannot help it - this is just how our brain is wired. If the energy in the room starts to drop, ask a question and choose a member of your audience to respond. Please him or it to participate, then skip to the next person. Don't worry lose control of your target audience. Sales guru Brian Tracy says, "what he (she) that pose questions is under control". Personally, I prefer questions like "how many of you...", and so I ask Freehand. These closed questions to get the audience involved both mentally and physically.

2. Connect your sentence.
For example, if you told the audience, "Lions, Tigers and bears..." and not complete the phrase, what do you think they would say? As long as they are familiar with the film the wizard of Oz, they would respond with "" Oh my! "" It is a pleasure to get your audience to participate. If they don't know the answer, will be the blurt; if they fail to do so, you meet the. Select something that should be so obvious, they get absolutely.

3 High-five.
This is one of my personal favorites, and if you've attended one of my conversations you have had a direct witness. If you ever feel as energy in the room is large, you can change it using this technique. Simply ask a question (don't forget the power of asking questions). Ask, "is it good things?". When your audience responds with "Yes", said "then turn to the people on both sides of them and give them a top-five and say:"This is good stuff!"»" Most people go out a kick to it. But if you have someone in your audience, who do not wish to participate, calm some people on it. will not simply have fun.

4 to do exercises.
I learned this trick of the famous millionaire, t. Harv Ecker, when I took its course "Train the Trainer". He says "Get your audience to do the job". To do this, ask them to divide into groups of two or three (with people they don't know) and give them an exercise that is congruent with the presentation. Subsequently, ask them to openly share with the rest of the Group and thank them for doing so.

5 Give candy.
Reward your audience to participate, and they want to participate even more. Simply ask a question, and when someone answers it, gently mix a small piece of candy for this person. I find that this chocolate works best. You can find, it becomes a game and people will compete for the chocolate. I use it not throughout the course of my speech together, only a few minutes in the middle of my speech.

There are many other means and technical to involve your audience. What is important lecturer, enabling you to reach many different ways that you can think, is relevant to your audience and for you as a speaker. Believe me, we thank you for your willingness to public.
